Competitors

Ben Heggs competed on the Farnborough Autosolo on 4th May, in his Escort, finishing 8th in Class.

Steve Graham/Tony Graham finished 31st Overall and 3rd in Class on the Pirelli Rally in their Diesel Astra.

Club members Chris Faulkner, Nick Faulkner, Dave Walker, Chris Thorley, Ben Heggs and Stuart Alexander took place on the recent Loughborough Car Club evening AutoSolo at Bramcote

Dave Walker will be competing in a car trail at Gaydon 18th May, in his Proton.

Ashley Woodward and Adrian Hodgkinson’s intended programme of sprints for 2008 is as follows:- 3&4 May - Anglesey; 15 June -  Silverstone; 3 August - Curborough; 30& 31 August - Anglesey; 20 September - Harewood.

Loughborough Car Club will be running a series of Grass Autotests and AutoSolos; the dates and locations of which are as follows:- 20th May Grass Autotest. 3rd June AutoSolo. 17th June Grass Autotest. 1st July AutoSolo. 15th July Grass Autotest. This year the Rally of The Midlands will take place Friday 20th & Saturday 21st June. Notices

Coalville Car Club have now adopted a Child Protection Policy. A Permission Form to be completed by parents or guardians of all persons under 18 attending any events as part of Coalville Car Club is available from the Clubs’ Child Protection Officer Chris Faulkner.

Stuart Alexander is looking for a contributing navigator for some tarmac/concrete single venue events. Contact him at stuart165@btinternet.com if you are interested.

The Club Championship in 2008 has a new category - the "Highway Lighting & Signs Cup" will be awarded to the best "All-Rounder"; members will score points for each separate category they compete in; i.e. Stage Driver, Road Rally Nav, 12 car Driver, Marshal etc. Best score form each possible discipline to count. Minimum 3 categories one of which must be Marshalling, required to register a score.

Chris Thorley has a supply of 2008 Blue Books from the MSA & a copy of the spring edition of "Motorsports Now".

Chris Faulkner has A.N.E.M.M.C yearbooks if anyone needs one.

Chris Thorley has the DVD from the Motorsport Safety Fund. Available to anyone and everyone (but no-one has ever asked for it).
