Coalville Car Club

Weekly Bulletin No: 155 - 20th May 2009

Carlton & DMC have issued the following announcement for the Huntsman Enduro Rally on May 30/31st :

THE EVENT IS ON!

The Organisers have issued the following statement.

Despite the low number of entries the club for the second year running will take a significant financial hit to support grassroots motorsport.

We would like to thank all competitors and marshals who are turning out and supporting the event and hope that they will have an enjoyable weekend.

The event is still short of marshals for the road rally - please contact our Chief Marshal Anita Thouless p.thouless@ntlworld.com

We have been asked to run a Selectif on the Huntsman Enduro Rally on May 30th. The Selectif is only 1½  miles from the New Inn, so very much on the doorstep. We will need at least 25 people, for Start / Finish and to mark Course Penalties. Please ask friends, relatives or any other responsible people. Signing on is at 14:15 128-393/192 , and first Car is due at 15:50. If you haven’t contacted John Brindley aj-brindley@hotmail.co.uk to Marshal on Saturday afternoon, please get in touch. Our friends from Rugby MC will be joining us.

Ashley Woodward managed 1st in Class and 10th O/A on the Scammonden Dam Hillclimb last weekend.

Ben Heggs finished 4th in Class on the CSMA Northwest Autosolo.

Could all interested parties if you could please let John Brindley know numbers and availability,

Rugby MC have again asked us to help on the Mallory Park Stages on the Rally of the Midlands on June 19/20. There are 6 Stages at Mallory, in pairs. One visit on Friday evening and 2 visits on Saturday. Duncan Lord is Stage Commander. Since Rugby will be helping us on the Huntsman, we need to get as big a team as possible out on both events. If you can go on either (or both) Friday and Saturday, pleas let John Brindley aj-brindley@hotmail.co.uk know.

Thanks to those of you who have sent in Pictures, have a look at the Galleries for new additions, and keep those pictures coming.
