Ben Heggs was out last weekend on the CSMA NW Autosolo finishing 7th in Class.

The New Inn is running a Quiz Night on Sunday 6th June, CCC have been imvited to enter a Team, so if you are interested, give Chris T a call. Full details are HERE

The latest MSA News Bulletin is HERE, for those of you who haven't receved your own copy.

Rugby MC / Mercia MS are again running the Gold & Silver Goblets Multi Venue Autotest on June 12th followed by RMC 75th Anniversary Celebration and Awards. Full details are on a link from the Home page. If you can’t compete (and if not why not?) please come out and help marshal.

CCC will again be assisting Rugby with running the Mallory Park Stages of the Rally of the Midlands on June 18/19. Dave Oliver is the Stage Commander, assisted by Chris Faulkner, while JayBee is running one of the Radios. Chris Thorley is co-ordinating the CCC Marshals, so if you can come on either the Friday evening or Saturday, please giive him a call.

Chris says: Can anyone who’d intending to help let me know – as usual they’re short of people; and it’s a good day out.

If you can assist on even one of the days it would be helpful

“Signing on will be at Shaw's Hairpin between 5:30 & 6:30pm on Friday and between 8 & 9am on Saturday. We should be finished by 10pm on Friday and by 3:15 on Saturday.  If you can get to Mallory by 5pm on Friday to help Dave Oliver with the set up that would be great.”

  

Loughborough MC’s Summer Grass Autotests have increased the number from four to six. The planned dates are:

18th May; 1st June; 15th June; 6th July; 20th July; 17th August

Carlton’s Huntsman Enduro due to run on June 26th.  Has been cancelled due to a lack of entries.

Loughborough are looking to put out a gang of marshals, as they have been asked to run a stage.  Before they can commit we need an indication of available people.  If you are up for this please mail Richard Egger.

Trevor Leathley of Buccaneer Motor Sports Club has been asked to run the Portland stage (which is run twice) on The Dukeries Rally.  The Details are as follows:-

Tony Jones of Sheffield & Hallamshire Motor Club (with a lot of help from Lindholme MC) has been asked to run Clip South on this year's Dukeries on Saturday 12th June. The stage will be run twice, first car at 10:17 and then again at 14:41 with course closer due at approx 17:43.

As always we need marshals, radios and timekeepers to ensure the stage runs smoothly. Signing on will be 08:00 - 08:30 at the usual place, map ref 120/622615, enter at 120/620617.  All the usual marshal's goodies will be available.

Diary Dates / Events & Regulations / Marshals

Eastwood are running the Jane Cowling Memorial Phoenix Stages Rally on Sunday 27th June at Twyford Wood, click HERE for details. They are also hosting an ANEMMC Marshals Training Day on the day before, full details are HERE

Slaithwaite MC are running the OPPOSITE LOCK RALLY on Saturday 24th July at Manby Showground, Lincolnshire. Regs are HERE, Entry Form HERE

The event is a round of the ANCC Stage Rally Championship, Roadrunner Phoenix Awards ANEMMC Multi-Use Stage Rally Championship, Rainworth Skoda EMAMC Multi-Use Rally Championship, ANWCC Stage Rally Championship and the Yorkshire League.

Newtown Motor Club  are running a novice road rally on Saturday 14th August 2010.

The brief details are:

NAVIGATOR must be a novice/beginner

All the PRE-PLOT route is on map148

No petrol halt

Start / finish / scrutineering is at Shobdon airfield near Leominster, Herefordshire, HR6 9.

Cost of entry will be approx £60 inc club membership

Max 50 car entry, so be quick when the regs. come out!

Unfortunately its a NO SPOTLIGHTS event due to the usual west mids area PR grief.....

The organisers Mike Hart and Nic Morris are two experienced competitors so the route will be a cracker and the navigation should be straight forward, perfect for the beginners. No rough whites will be used....

Details of the 2010 Endurance Road Rally Championship are now on their website: http://www.endurance-rallying.co.uk/ We understand the South Hams Harvest Rally in November is also likely to be a round.

The Club has been invited to the 2010 Nottingham Sport Car Club Sprints. Full details of the events will be available later.

There is a new page on the Site, Club Members Adverts - Bought & Sold This is a new feature we are trying out. Adverts are free to Members, but if you sell anything through the page, for more then £100, we'd like a £5. Donation to Club Funds. Anything you have to sell or want that is motorsport related, then mail Chris F, and we'll add your ad.

The IRDC are compiling a register of all competitors in the UK (and abroad if we can get hold of them). This is free and anyone can be included. The directory will eventually have adverts and businesses etc in it as well. Tony Graham is Co-coordinating this and if you would like to be included, download a form HERE, and return it to Tony.

Chris Thorley has the DVD from the Motorsport Safety Fund. Available to anyone and everyone.

We have had an offer of substantial discounts from The Wheel Specialists, if you produce your Club Card. They refurbish Alloys, and there is also a link on the ‘Links Page so have a look and give them a call for a quote.
